The man whose son derailed Michael Jackson’s career with blockbuster accusations of molestation is dead of an apparent suicide.

Evan Chandler, 65, the father of the young boy who alleged that he was molested by Michael Jackson in 1994 Chandler was found dead on his bed with a single gunshot wound to his head and a gun in his hand in what they believe was suicide. Police were sent to check on the gravely ill Chandler after he’d missed a doctor’s appointment.

Chandler was the driving force behind a 1994 child-molestation case, telling Santa Barbara authorities that the singer had sexually abused his then 13-year-old son, Jordan, during sleepovers at Neverland Ranch.

The allegations sparked an investigation that led Jackson, in an effort to clear his name, to voluntarily allow his genitalia to be photographed as evidence. Before the case could ever go to trial however, the attorneys eventually convinced the King of Pop to settle with the Chandlers for an undisclosed amount that was rumored to be $20 million.

As for the elder Chandler, he eventually had numerous cosmetic surgeries that radically altered his appearance ostensibly to avoid the constant opprobrium from Jackson fans.

Michael Jackson Case Could Turn Criminal, LAPD Chief Says~ Friday, Jul 10 2009

The King of Pop’s Death could turn into a  criminal case depending on the results of pending toxicology tests. Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton told CNN on Thursday that his department is awaiting the coroner’s final report to decide whether to proceed with the investigation as either a homicide case or an accidental drug overdose.

They are still waiting for results to find out if they’re dealing with a homicide, or dealing with accidental overdose?”

A source told CNN that doctors who refused to cooperate with investigators were issued subpoenas, and, if necessary, authorities will issue more as their probe widens. While Bratton would not elaborate on what investigators found at Beverly Hills-area home Jackson was renting, he confirmed that “a number of items” that will assist in the investigation were seized. CNN has reported that numerous bottles of prescription drugs were taken into evidence following Jackson’s death, and other media outlets have claimed that among the drugs found was the powerful anesthetic Diprivan, which is not intended for private use outside a doctor’s office.

It was found that the King of pop suffered anxiety from child molestation against him-of, which he was acquitted in 2005. Former employees of the singer said Jackson took more than 10 anti-anxiety Xanax pills a night to get to sleep. The document also said he often obtained the medication under his employees’ names.

The 2004 document contains comments from one of Jackson’s security guards, who told sheriff’s deputies that he expressed concern about the amount of medicine Jackson was taking to get to sleep to another staffer, who reportedly replied that this was an improvement “because he was down from 30 to 40 Xanax pills a night.”

Documents from the sheriff’s office investigation also relates a story from a security guard who said he quit working for the singer after Jackson “fell on his face” in a hotel room and hurt himself. The employee allegedly told Jackson around that time that he was not comfortable getting prescriptions for him and left his employ.

It also names entertainer Diana Ross as a successor guardian for the children and their estates if something happens to Katherine Jackson.

Ross introduced the Jackson 5 on the Ed Sullivan Show in the late 1960s and was instrumental in launching their career. She was a lifelong friend of Michael Jackson.

Jackson’s longtime lawyer John Branca and John McClain, a music executive and a family friend, are named in the will as co-executors.

Katherine Jackson was granted temporary guardianship Monday of Jackson’s three children. A judge held off on requests to control the children’s estates.

The executors moved quickly to take control of all of Michael Jackson’s property, going to court Wednesday to challenge a previous ruling by the judge that gave Katherine Jackson control of 2,000 items from Neverland.

Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said Katherine Jackson will retain authority over the items until another hearing set for Monday.

Michael Jackson’s Father Joe Jackson has told reporters that his son will not be buried at Neverland, the family wants to honor Michaels request to never return to Neverland.

Michael Jackson honored at BET awards with a Tribute~ Tuesday, Jun 30 2009

The legendary King of pop Michael Jackson was honored at the Bet awards in Los Angeles Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium.

The show opened with a clip of Jackson’s appearance on the 2003 BET Awards, where he performed with James Brown

Jamie Foxx hosted the show and was wearing a red Jacket like Michael Jackson wore in thriller, along with a white sparkling glove.

Throughout the night, Foxx also regularly turned up in some of Jackson’s signature looks, like the wide-collar black leather outfit from “Billie Jean

The entertainer and sister of Michael: Janet Jackson spoke at the event with a very emotional few words, this was her first public appearance since her brothers death, she thanked fans for support holding back tears saying his music would live forever

Ne-Yo and host Jamie Foxx performed a sombre version of the Jackson 5 classic “I’ll Be There,” as photos of Jackson flashed across the screen.

It was an emotional highlight for a show that was completely revamped to recognize the legacy of Jackson, who died Thursday at just 50 years young. While awards were still given out, the show’s main focus was to pay tribute to the man who shaped the careers of every entertainer who walked the stage that night.

Although there were mixed reviews and many thought her performance was self-indulging, Beyonce was also among the many performers to sing at the Michael Jackson tribute. (She did not sing a Michael Jackson song at the event like the other performers).

Michael Jackson died at age 50~ Friday, Jun 26 2009

The legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson died at age 50 after cardiac arrest June 25th at about 2:30 pm PDT time in Los Angeles. The King of pop is known world wide for hits like Thriller Beat it, and Billy Jean.

Jackson was taken ill at home and his personal physician tried to resuscitate him but could not, his brother Jermaine told reporters. Jackson was taken by paramedics to the hospital, where doctors worked for more than an hour to try to revive him before pronouncing him dead, the brother said.

Michael Jackson made an impact on music like no artist in history his performance was always breathtaking beyond words; his sudden death has shocked the world.

Did Michael Jackson know he did not have long to live? He said in a press release statement that this upcoming tour to start in 2months would be his final Curtin call.

About 200 fans and reporters gathered outside the Los Angeles hospital. Some fans cried and hugged each other. Fans are gathered all over the world in honor of the King of Pop.

Michael will certainly missed by me and fans all over the world but his legacy and his music will live forever.
