Michael was dead at the age of 50. The King Of Pop was gone. Controversy still surrounds his death, and the question remains was his personal physician responsible? Did Dr. Conrad Murray kill Michael? The investigation into his death continues, and somebody could be arrested next year. Since the death of the King of Pop his estate has made over $150 million through records sales, the hit movie, This Is It, and other Jackson memorabilia. Super Star Golfer Tiger Woods had a Thanksgiving he will never forget. On that night outside his Florida home, it was the car crash heard around the world. With it, the perfect life of Tiger Woods and his family was shattered. Did Tiger’s wife go upside his head with a golf club when she confronted him about his other women? Oprah is leaving daytime TV. The Queen of talk is leaving daytime TV after 25 years of being on the air and will concentrate on her own network, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Oprah will step down in 2011.

Tyra Banks announced she is ending her talk show in 2010 to work on a new business venture, but many speculate it is due to decrease in ratings when Wendy Williams came on the air.

Chris Brown and Rihanna

Chris Brown and Rihanna had a shocking incident this year, Rihanna suffered physical abuse from singer Chris brown. Rihanna revealed how badly she was beten. Chris Brown pleaded guilty and served community service and paid Fees, but he has not been able to salvage his career. Rihanna’s career has also suffered her new album rated R is not doing well.

Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston returned looking great and going platinum with her latest album, I Look To You. While her voice may not be what it used to be, and many fans say it was not much of a come back at all, it’s good to see her.

American Idol booted Paula Abdul. After 8 seasons, contract negotiation stalled and the popular Abdul, was replaced by Talk Show Host and Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres.

Kanye West derailed his career at The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. He felt Country Sensation Taylor Swift stole an award from Beyonce, and had an inappropriate outburst on stage.

Speaking of Beyonce, what a year it’s been for her. She had a hit movie (Obsessed), a hit album (I Am Sasha Fierce featuring the hit anthem Single Ladies) and a hot tour. In 2010, look for Beyonce to take the stage in Las Vegas.

The Super Bowl 2010 is approaching on February 7,2010. Super Bowl 44 will be played at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Flordia.

Some of us may wonder what the TV commercials will look like with the troubled economy. According to several reports Pepsi will not advertise for the 2010 Super Bowl on CBS. Instead the company plans to shift ad dollars to a new marketing effort that’s mostly online.

Frito-Lay, a unit of parent company PepsiCo Inc., will still have Super Bowl commercials in the 2010 game

The company, which is based in Purchase, N.Y., spent $33 million advertising products like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Cheetos during the 2009 Super Bowl, according to TNS Media Intelligence, $15 million of it on Pepsi alone. Ad time for the NFL championship game cost about $3 million for 30 seconds, on average.

Those prices may have dipped to as low as $2.5 million per 30 seconds for the 2010 game, according to Jon Swallen, senior vice president of research for TNS Media Intelligence.

RadarOnline.com has obtained what it says are sexual text messages that Tiger Woods sent to one of his alleged mistresses, cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs. The racy messages leave no doubt as to what the sender is thinking about:

“I will wear you out…when was the last time you got (bleeped)?” one message read.
Another one from Tiger read, “Send me something very naughty…Go to the bathroom and take (a picture).

Michael Jackson tops Google/Yahoo searches 2009; Get the Top 10 Internet searches~ Wednesday, Dec 2 2009

The search companies released their annual lists on Tuesday as an effort to provide a cultural snapshot of what held the public’s interest over the past year. Jackson topped both Google’s fastest rising and Yahoo’s overall searches, but he was the only commonality between those two Top 10 rankings. After is passing this June.

Google’s Top list- Michael Jackson, Facebook (2), Twitter (4), the New Moon movie (6), Lady Gaga (7), Windows 7 (8), Vietnamese portal dantri.com.vn (9) and Portuguese SMS website Torpedo Gratis. Two social network sites also placed in the Top 10: Spain’s Tuenti (3) and Turkey’s Sanalika (5).

Yahoo’s Top Search List in order-Jackson, Twilight, WWE, Megan Fox, Britney Spears, Japanese anime character Naruto, American Idol, Kim Kardashian, NASCAR and online role-playing game Runescape.

Yahoo said the dominance of pop culture in the searches shows that the Internet is being used largely for entertainment purposes.

Google also released a list of Canada’s fastest-rising searches as part of its “Zeitgeist” rankings, which partly reflect an increasing tendency to use search engines in place of browser bookmarks. On the Canadian list, Jackson barely made the Top 10, ranking ninth overall. The list, in order, was Twitter, Blackberry, Yahoo Mail, the Desjardins financial tool AccèsD, Craigslist, Natasha Richardson, Justin Bieber, New Moon, Michael Jackson and Google Street View.
